A Different Kind of Ladies' Night
Events For LGBTQ Women in Miami and South Florida
Once upon a time, not that long ago, almost every city in America was home to at least one lesbian bar. Today, however, times have changed and finding one of those lesbian bars is nearly impossible.
In 2002 I noticed this gaping hole that existed in the lesbian community where I lived in Washington, DC, and decided that instead of complaining about the lack of places to go, I'd create them.
Today, I spend my time in Miami where A Different Kind of Ladies' Night is alive and well! This site and these events are for lesbian women like YOU! Women who are tired of the same old lesbian scene in their city and want something more!
I started A Different Kind of Ladies' Night because I, like most lesbian women, wanted something more than what my city offered. I wanted a way to meet, bond, network, connect with and support other women. I wanted more than a dance club or party. I wanted to make friends, share interests and meet women I could connect with. I wanted something different. I wanted A Different Kind of Ladies' Night.

A Different Kind of Ladies' Night was born in 2002 and although it was a slow start, it quickly grew to a weekly event attended by hundreds of women and was featured in several local publications.
In 2014 I left DC, moved to New York City and brought A Different Kind of Ladies' Night (ADKLN as it affectionately started to be called) with me. ADKLN quickly grew to become THE LARGEST lesbian Meetup Group in NYC with well over 5,000 members.
